Project Overview
Cohesive Society CIC is delighted to launch a new community initiative, “Providing Warm Space,” designed to support BAME community members during the cold winter months. From Monday to Saturday, between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, we invite individuals to visit our welcoming space at Room No 8, Northampton Business Centre, Lower Harding Street, Northampton, NN1 2JL. Our team is ready to offer a cosy atmosphere complete with tea, coffee, snacks, and engaging games like cards, carrom board, and chess, providing an enjoyable afternoon for the elderly, youth, and all members of the BAME community.
Objectives
This project addresses multiple community needs:
- Financial Relief: As heating and energy costs rise, our Warm Space offers a haven, helping alleviate financial stress by providing a heated, communal environment.
- Social Well-being: By reducing social isolation, the project fosters camaraderie, encouraging intergenerational interaction, cultural exchange, and building friendships.
- Mental Health Support: A warm, safe space with enjoyable activities can alleviate loneliness and improve mental well-being.
Community Impact
As always, Cohesive Society remains at the forefront of supporting community health and well-being. The “Providing Warm Space” project exemplifies our commitment to community resilience. This initiative promotes mental health, combats isolation, and provides comfort to those struggling with financial pressures related to winter heating. Moreover, it encourages cultural expression, interaction, and unity within the BAME community, reinforcing a sense of belonging.
