Cohesive Society CIC is delighted to announce the launch of its new Youth Employability & Job Skills Club, commencing in August 2026 in Northampton.
This exciting initiative has been designed specifically for young people, school leavers, college and university students, unemployed individuals, and those seeking to improve their employment prospects in an increasingly competitive job market.
Finding employment today requires far more than simply submitting an application form. Employers are looking for confidence, communication skills, professionalism, digital awareness, and the ability to present oneself effectively. Our Job Skills Club aims to bridge this gap by equipping participants with practical knowledge, confidence, and employability skills that employers value.
Participants will benefit from guidance and mentoring from experienced trainers, mentors, assessors, business professionals, and guest speakers who will share real-life experiences and industry insights.
The programme will cover:
• CV writing and professional profile development
• Cover letters and business correspondence
• Job search techniques and online job portal navigation
• Completing application forms effectively
• Interview preparation for both online and face-to-face interviews
• Communication skills and professional etiquette
• Workplace customs, expectations, and behavioural standards
• Personal presentation, dress code, and professional appearance
• Confidence building and public speaking skills
• Tailor-made mock interview sessions based on specific job sectors
• Practice questions and answers likely to be encountered during interviews
• Understanding employer expectations and recruitment processes
Our team will work closely with participants to help them identify their strengths, career aspirations, and pathways into employment, apprenticeships, further education, or vocational training.
