Cohesive Society CIC to Launch New Classes for Deaf Children in Northamptonshire

Cohesive Society CIC is proud to announce that we are preparing to launch a new and inclusive educational project for Deaf children and young people in Northamptonshire in the coming months.

For years, we have worked to strengthen communities, support families, and create safe spaces for learning and development. However, one area that continues to need greater attention is specialist support for Deaf children. Too many young people face barriers in communication, confidence building, educational progress, and social inclusion simply because services are limited or difficult to access locally.

We believe that every child deserves equal opportunity to thrive.

Our upcoming programme aims to provide structured classes designed specifically for Deaf children and young people. These sessions will focus on communication development, confidence building, creative learning activities, and peer interaction in a safe and supportive environment. We also aim to work closely with parents and carers to ensure holistic support for each child.

This initiative is currently in the planning stage. We are assessing community need, designing the curriculum framework, and identifying specialist facilitators with experience in Deaf education and inclusive practice. The success of this project depends on early engagement from families who would benefit from the programme.

We are therefore inviting parents, guardians, carers, schools, and community members across Northamptonshire to pre-register their interest.

Pre-registration will help us:
• Assess demand and age groups
• Structure class levels appropriately
• Secure suitable venues and timetables
• Strengthen funding applications to support long-term sustainability
