Free, caring, and confidential support from Cohesive Society CIC
Growing older should bring dignity, security and peace of mind. Sadly, many elderly people in our community find themselves struggling with complicated paperwork, unfamiliar systems and important decisions that can feel overwhelming.
A letter from a care home, an insurance company or a solicitor may be difficult to understand. Making an appointment, completing a form or finding the correct organisation to contact can become a major source of anxiety—particularly for someone facing language barriers, limited digital skills, ill health, loneliness or a lack of family support.
At Cohesive Society CIC, we believe that no elderly person should be left alone to face these difficulties.
Our team provides patient, compassionate and practical support to senior citizens and their families. We take the time to listen, understand each person’s circumstances and help them identify the most appropriate next steps.
We regularly support elderly community members with:
- Care home enquiries, correspondence and related concerns
- Insurance letters, claims and appointment arrangements
- Arranging appointments with solicitors and other professionals
- Understanding official letters, forms and documents
- Contacting councils, care providers and relevant organisations
- Making telephone calls and helping with follow-up correspondence
- Signposting and referrals to suitable specialist services
- Other everyday problems affecting an elderly person’s wellbeing
For many senior citizens, the greatest difficulty is not simply the problem itself—it is not knowing whom to contact, what to say or where to begin. This uncertainty can leave people feeling frightened, isolated and powerless.
That is where Cohesive Society CIC can help.
We provide a welcoming place where elderly people are treated with patience, kindness and respect. We listen without judgement and work alongside each individual to seek a timely and appropriate solution. Where specialist professional advice is required, we help the person reach the correct qualified service.
