Cohesive Society CIC proudly supports the UK Bengali Book Fair in London 2026

Cohesive Society CIC is immensely proud to be a joint sponsor of one of the most inspiring cultural occasions of the year: the UK Bengali Book Fair in London 2026, taking place on 27 and 28 June 2026 at the historic Brady Arts & Community Centre, in the heart of London’s vibrant Bangladeshi community.
This exceptional two-day literary gathering will bring together writers, poets, playwrights, publishers, artists, academics, cultural activists and lovers of Bengali literature from across the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Europe and the United States. It promises to be far more than a book fair. It will be a grand celebration of language, imagination, heritage, memory and the enduring creative spirit of Bengalis around the world.
For Cohesive Society CIC, supporting this epic literary congregation reflects our longstanding commitment to community empowerment through culture, education, heritage, the arts and lifelong learning. We believe that books are not simply collections of pages; they are bridges between generations, voices of identity, reservoirs of history and instruments of social change. In a rapidly changing world, Bengali literature continues to preserve the memories, language and values that connect our diaspora communities to their roots.

The fair will create a unique meeting space where established authors and emerging writers can share ideas, discuss their work, launch books, recite poetry, exchange experiences and inspire a new generation. Visitors will have opportunities to meet writers, explore Bengali and multilingual publications, enjoy literary discussions, listen to poetry, witness dramatic performances and participate in cultural conversations that strengthen the bonds of our community.

Cohesive Society CIC has consistently worked at the grassroots level to encourage cultural confidence among British Bangladeshis and wider communities. Through education, heritage activities, wellbeing programmes, youth engagement, community events and creative initiatives, the organisation seeks to ensure that people of every age feel valued, included and connected.
Our founder, Imran Ahmed Chowdhury BEM, is himself an award-winning bilingual writer, community leader and historian. He has written more than 35 books in Bengali and English, as well as thousands of newspaper, magazine, and periodical articles. His writing covers a wide range of important subjects, including the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, his own life as a child refugee during the war, geopolitical developments, military history, Bangladesh’s national identity and the genesis of the Bangladesh Army.

His literary journey demonstrates the power of storytelling to preserve truth, honour sacrifice and educate future generations. Through his work and that of many other writers attending this fair, the stories of Bangladesh, its people, and its diaspora will continue to reach readers across borders.

The UK Bengali Book Fair 2026 will therefore stand as a proud symbol of intellectual exchange, cultural unity and artistic excellence. Cohesive Society CIC warmly invites writers, readers, students, families and cultural enthusiasts to join this memorable occasion and celebrate the richness of Bengali literature.

Let us come together in London to honour the written word, celebrate our heritage and inspire the next chapter of Bengali creativity across the world.
